Progesterone and the Pill

"You said in one of your write ups that progesterone is converted
by the adrenal glands into other hormones such as cortisone,
estrogen, testosterone and others. In another, you condemned the
conventional treatment with estrogen. Is this not a contradiction
as the use of progesterone will eventually be converted to estrogen
too?"

And here's my reply...

"Dear M, Many thanks for your email. The estrogen in HRT or The
Pill is always synthetic, whereas the estrogen converted in the
body from progesterone is natural. There have now been many
studies where they've found that the synthetic form is in fact
dangerous, three major studies on HRT have been stopped and the FDA
has issued a warning that the Pill Yasmin must have a black box
warning on the packet.

I have attached a number of documents which I hope will reassure
you. And some web addresses. Some health practitioners are using
a natural estrogen cream/gel to help with hot flashes and vaginal
dryness during menopause, as some women don't respond to
progesterone quickly enough. The recommended estrogen is estriol,
which has been found to be anti-cancerous, whereas both estradiol
and estrone are not. Please come back to me if you have any more
